Itero Group, LLC, a Women-Owned Small Business, seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to advance an enterprise PPM platform. You will drive portfolio, program, and agile practices, and oversee training, governance, and cross‑team adoption across business and technical groups.

The role emphasizes hands-on project management, scheduling mastery, and collaboration with SDLC teams to deliver enhancements and ensure successful tool adoption.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT project management experience in a PM role.
• 3+ years in program management, portfolio management, or Agile PM.
• Strong skills in project planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project or similar enterprise PPM tool.
• Experience testing software, creating training materials, and user documentation.
• Understanding of PPM processes, governance, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams through the SDLC.
• Working knowledge of Visio and Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Drive PPM adoption through demonstrations, office hours, and targeted support.
• Support the rollout of project change workflows and PPM process enhancements.
• Expand platform capabilities across portfolio, program, and Agile management.

Senior IT Project Manager – Strategic Portfolio Management

Itero Group is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support the expansion and adoption of an enterprise Project Portfolio Management (PPM) platform. This role will focus on enhancing portfolio, program, and Agile management capabilities while helping project management teams adopt new tools, processes, and best practices. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on IT project management experience, advanced project scheduling skills, and a solid understanding of PPM processes. Success in this position requires someone who can work across technical and business teams, support system enhancements, and drive adoption through training, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Drive PPM adoption: Help project managers effectively use enterprise project planning and scheduling capabilities through demonstrations, office hours, and individualized support.
• Support process improvements: Assist with implementing and rolling out project change request workflows and other PPM process enhancements.
• Expand platform capabilities: Apply knowledge of portfolio, program, and Agile management practices to help define and implement additional functionality within the enterprise PPM platform.
• Partner with technical teams: Collaborate with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Lead pilot programs and rollouts: Support initial implementations of new PPM capabilities and help expand successful processes across the organization.
• Develop training resources: Create and deliver role‑specific training, user guides, knowledge base articles, and practical tips to support ongoing system adoption.
• Support governance activities: Participate in governance processes to evaluate, prioritize, and implement platform enhancements.
• Collaborate across teams: Work closely with project managers, decentralized PMOs, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent adoption of PPM practices.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of IT project management experience serving directly in a Project Manager role, with responsibility for managing projects from initiation through delivery.
• 3+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or Agile project management.
• Strong proficiency in project planning and scheduling using Microsoft Project or a comparable enterprise PPM platform.
• Experience supporting software testing, developing training materials, and creating user documentation.
• Understanding of project portfolio management processes, workflows, governance, and reporting.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams throughout the SDLC.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering with multiple teams to drive process improvements and system adoption.

Nice to Have

• PMP, PgMP, PfMP, Scrum, or SAFe certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
• Experience implementing or enhancing enterprise PPM platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology rollouts, user adoption, and change management.
