Intone Networks Inc. in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a 12-month contract Business Analyst to support the migration of legacy Microsoft Access databases to an enterprise platform.

You will lead discovery, assess applications, document business processes, and coordinate with IT, business units, financial SMEs, and the implementation vendor. Responsibilities include analyzing data structures, SQL queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA; capturing requirements, workflows, budgeting/financial rules;

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of business analysis experience on enterprise software implementations or modernization projects.
  • Minimum three years of experience analyzing Microsoft Access databases.
  • Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and application requirements.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Experience supporting application migration, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft Access, including relational tables, relationships, SQL queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA code.
  • Strong familiarity with financial concepts, reporting, and data models (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, cost allocation, or expense tracking).
  • Proven experience managing project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.

Job description

This is a 12-month contract Business Analyst position based in Tallahassee, Florida. You will provide business analysis, project coordination, and technical assessment services to support the migration of legacy Microsoft Access databases to an approved enterprise application platform. In this role, you will lead discovery, application assessment, business process analysis, and requirements gathering activities while serving as the primary liaison between the IT organization, business divisions, financial subject matter experts, and the implementation vendor. You will ensure business processes, financial logic, budgeting workflows, reporting requirements, data structures, and application functionality are accurately documented and translated into requirements for the replacement solution.

    • Minimum three (3) years of experience analyzing Microsoft Access databases
    • Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and application requirements
    • Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions
    • Experience supporting application migration, modernization, or digital transformation initiatives
    • Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams
    • Deep understanding of Microsoft Access, including the ability to analyze and reverse-engineer relational tables, relationships, SQL queries, forms, reports, macros, and VBA code
    • Strong familiarity with financial concepts, reporting, and data models (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, cost allocation, or expense tracking)
    • Proven experience managing project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, deliverables, and stakeholder communications
  • Preferred
    • Working knowledge of Low-Code/No-Code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Dataverse, Power Automate, Airtable, OutSystems, Mendix, or similar)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
    • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification
    • Scrum Master certification
