LaunchCode is partnering with a St. Louis area organization to hire a Business Analyst on a fixed-term contract ending June 30, 2027.

Hybrid work in St Charles, MO, combining three days onsite and two remote days. The role focuses on analyzing complex business operations, mapping processes, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring requirements, testing, data analysis, and training support IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business analysis or related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and related software applications.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage multiple projects.

Role Overview

As a Business Analyst on this team, you’ll be responsible for analyzing complex business operations and recommending solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals. This role requires an expert-level understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommends solutions to improve general business processes using lean or other methodologies, has a good understanding of process mapping, and overall planning. This team member is considered a subject matter expert in business analysis and will collaborate with one or several business units or functions to facilitate core IT activities, such as requirements gathering and analysis, process mapping and improvement, project planning and coordination, vendor and solution evaluation, stakeholder communication, testing and quality assurance, data analysis and reporting, and change management and training.

• Maps current and future business processes and operating procedures that can be encoded in software and used for training.
• Ensure robust test plans are developed to support User Acceptance Testing. Serve as the IT owner of User Acceptance Testing.
• Create reports, charts, graphs, and presentations to aid in proposing new strategies for successful business changes.
• Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
• Analyze external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.
• May make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
• Provide guidance and management advice that has a large impact on cost, efficiency, compliance, service, and quality.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of business analysis or related experience
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Abilities:
