Job summary

EDA Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to turn raw operational data into actionable insights alongside the Business Analytics Lead. You will own report development, dashboards, and data visualization to support data‑driven decisions in a growing construction company.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4 years in BI/analytics, strong SQL, and proficiency with Python or R, plus Excel and MS Office. This on-site role offers mentorship and opportunities to shape analytics inside the organization.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, business analytics, data analytics, or a related role.
  • Understanding of statistical and/or mathematical concepts used in business analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Working-level knowledge of R and/or Python
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Working-level knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to independently investigate data, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple analytical requests and priorities with appropriate guidance

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics Lead to analyze operational data and develop meaningful business insights.
  • Build, maintain, and improve reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Extract, clean, and organize data from multiple sources using SQL, Excel, and other analytics tools.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve business processes and operational performance
  • Assist in developing and maintaining EDA's internal data models, reporting systems, and analytics solutions.
  • Partner with departments across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Document data processes, reporting logic, and analytical methodologies to support long‑term scalability and consistency.
  • Continuously learn and apply new analytics techniques, technologies, and best practices to improve EDA's data capabilities.

Job Summary

EDA’s Business Analytics team is growing. As our Business Analyst, you’ll work alongside our Business Analytics Lead to help turn raw operational data into insights that help EDA build smarter. You’ll get hands‑on exposure to a modern, homegrown data stack inside a company that’s serious about using data to drive decisions, not just report on them.

This is a great fit for someone early in their analytics career – or someone with construction industry experience and looking to pivot – who wants real ownership, a mentor who will teach you the ropes, and a chance to help shape how a growing construction company uses data.

  • Experience gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and teams
