Job summary

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in accounting, business, finance, management, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated mastery of both oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience.
• Ability to design, organize, and deliver effective learning experiences in the classroom.
• Effectiveness using technology to provide instruction with online learning platforms.
• Active scholarly work and involvement in academic and co-curricular activities.
• Understanding of the college mission and ability to work with a diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Teach 15 credits per semester in business and related courses in multiple modalities (on-ground, hybrid, online).
• Assist in coordination of courses, including syllabi, instructor guides, textbooks, and course materials.
• Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Monitor student performance to ensure achievement of course and program outcomes.
• Participate in curriculum development and assessments to improve student success.
• Participate in textbook adoption and advocate low-cost options for students.
• Engage in academic and career advisement and staff development programs.
• Provide peer reviews, assist with advising, and participate in governance and committees.
• Confer with students through weekly office hours and maintain instructional currency.
• Collaborate to design equity-minded pedagogy and support student success initiatives.
