Job summary

Legacy Early College seeks an Assistant Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily bus operations, supervise drivers, and ensure safety compliance. The role requires CDL with P/S endorsements, a clean driving record, and proficiency with UKG, GPS, and Google Suite.

The position includes coordinating with parents and campus deans on delays and discipline, with opportunities for backup driving as needed. The schedule follows the Legacy Early College calendar and includes standard benefits, a 401k

Qualifications

Valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements is required.
Clean driving record and ability to pass SCDE physicals and background checks.
Proficiency in basic technology: UKG time-tracking, GPS software, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

Lead the morning and afternoon bus rollouts; assign substitutes and manage radio dispatch for real-time issues.
Review daily punches/hours to ensure drivers are clocking in/out correctly.
Assist in conducting check-rides to ensure safety compliance and train new hires on routes and student behavior expectations.
Serve as primary contact for parents and Campus Deans regarding bus delays, stops, or minor discipline issues.
Monitor and record pre-trip and post-trip inspection logs to ensure road-readiness and compliance with SCDE standards.
Maintain a valid CDL license to serve as emergency backup driver for routes, athletic trips, or college tours.
