Job summary

Transdev in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Safety & Training Supervisor to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy while promoting a proactive safety culture.

The role involves organizing training programs, delivering classroom and behind-the-wheel sessions, tracking attendance, and coordinating with Operations, Dispatch and HR to align schedules with service needs. Requires CDL endorsements and strong safety background.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, or GED required.
• Three years progressive experience in safety.
• Must possess a state Commercial Drivers License with appropriate endorsements.
• Must maintain an excellent motor vehicle record.
• Ability to operate a coach bus and understand CDL licensing programs.
• DOT drug testing requirements apply.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Ability to analyze and formulate curriculum for training needs.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written skills.
• Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Organize, coordinate and furnish training programs; develop and present training materials.
• Monitor program effectiveness; track attendance and report.
• Perform risk management and safety functions; ensure compliance policies and controls.
• Identify health and safety risks; recommend corrective actions.
• Collect data, analyze incidents; investigate claims.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections post-accidents and claims.
• Coordinate compliance activities; prepare regulatory reports; respond to audits.
• Oversee Drug and Alcohol testing program where required.
• Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training to new drivers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Dispatch and HR to align training with service needs.
