Job summary

Washington Elementary School District 6 Transportation is seeking a bus attendant to ensure student safety and proper behavior on buses and school property in Phoenix, AZ. The role includes assisting with bus cleaning, maintaining incident records, and attending conferences with principals and parents as needed.

Required certifications include CPR and First Aid with clearance card within 30 days of hire; a valid IVP fingerprint clearance is also required.

Qualifications

• Valid CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Valid First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains order on the bus according to state law and District policy by monitoring student behavior.
• Assists in cleaning the bus, including floors, seats, windows, exterior, and disposing of trash.
• Keeps records of all warnings and prepares behavior incident documentation when appropriate; attends conferences with principals and parents as needed.
• Acts as a liaison between staff, students and parents by promoting positive relations.
• Performs other duties as required.
