Avon Public School is seeking a dedicated bus attendant to assist in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students. The role involves monitoring student behavior, ensuring safety during boarding, and providing assistance as needed, particularly for students with mobility challenges.
Successful candidates will have a High School diploma, effective communication skills, and a commitment to student welfare. Experience in a similar environment is a plus. Avon Public School values diversity and inclusion in its employment practices.
To assist the bus driver in ensuring the safe, orderly, and efficient transportation of district students, including those in General Education and Exceptional Student Services (ESS), to and from school and designated stops. The bus attendant must be punctual, attentive, and vigilant while monitoring students, supporting their needs, and helping maintain safety along the assigned route.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds in various directions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions.
