Job summary

Family of Kidz is hiring a Bus Behavior Attendant to supervise students during school transportation, support behavior plans, and ensure safe boarding and travel. You will work closely with bus drivers and school staff to maintain a calm, safe, and supportive environment on every route.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months of experience with children or adolescents with special needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Minimum of six months of experience working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting is preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned reporting location.
• Experience supporting students with autism and/or challenging behaviors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet students and provide individualized support during boarding, travel, and departure from the bus.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive environment throughout each bus route.
• Assist students with mobility, seating, and use of seat belts or safety equipment.
• Implement individualized behavior support plans under the direction of a behavior consultant or supervisor.
• Use trained strategies to support safe behavior and positive interactions.
• Collect behavioral data and communicate progress to supervisors and school personnel.
• Help the driver remain focused on driving by managing supervision needs.
