Job summary

Seguin ISD is seeking a Mechanic Support/Assistant to perform minor repairs and assist certified mechanics in maintaining district vehicles. This non-exempt position reports to the Shop Foreman in the Student Transportation department and follows established policies to ensure safety and reliability.

The role requires a Texas CDL Class B with P and S endorsements or the ability to obtain within 3 months, as well as a Texas Education Certification for School Bus Drivers.

Qualifications

• Clear and valid Texas CDL (Class B) with Passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements or ability to obtain one within 3 months of employment.
• Texas Education Certification for School bus drivers obtain one within 3 months of employment
• Clear criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Perform minor mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Assist mechanics in preventative maintenance and ensure proper performance and safety of district vehicles.
• Perform assigned work following established policies and procedures.
