Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking staff to support safe transportation of campers and staff to camp locations and off-site events, working under the Afterschool or Youth Development Director.

You will teach safety, take attendance, inspect vehicles, and report incidents, while maintaining CPR/First Aid certification and passing background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience working with children in a structured setting.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification (obtain within 30 days of hire and maintain throughout employment).
• Pass a criminal background and drug screening check.
• Pass a Motor Vehicles Record Check and have own transportation.
• Pass BFTS background checks.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and personal commitment to service and hospitality.

Employment Requirements

• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check, including Criminal Record check, Drug Screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) and reference check.
• Legally eligible to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
• Ability to work actively while supervising children, including climbing, walking, running, stooping, squatting or kneeling, lifting and carrying equipment, and using senses for safe supervision.
