Job summary

The Cedar Rapids Community School District is seeking a Bus Driver in Training - Bus Attendant for the ELSC Transportation group in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role starts at $16.28 per hour during training and as a bus attendant, with $22.40 per hour after full training, under a 9-month schedule with Summers off and 30 hours per week guaranteed.

You'll transport students, manage behavior, and maintain safety and vehicle readiness, including pre/post-trip inspections, documentation, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL license and DOT medical card.
• Strong communication and student management skills.
• Ability to work with school staff and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Effectively manage student behaviors and maintain safety.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with school staff and Fleet Supervisor.
