Qualifications

• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• To hold valid licenses and permits as required by the Department of Education.
• To maintain a good driving record.
• To participate in all required in-service training.
• To possess a knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to the safe transportation of students.
• To operate buses in accordance with all approved procedures, so as to provide the safest and most efficient transportation for students.
• To maintain order and discipline among students being transported.
• To comply fully with all directives regarding the handling of elementary student bus passes and secondary student bus passes.
• To maintain current route descriptions for all routes driven.
• To ensure compliance with all fueling and pre-trip inspection procedures.
• To maintain the interior portions of buses driven so that standards of cleanliness are preserved.
• To report all mechanical problems or suspected problems.
• To perform such other duties as may properly be assigned by the Supervisor of Transportation or the Driver/Route Supervisor.

Education
