Qualifications

• Must hold valid licenses and permits as required by the Department of Education.
• Maintain a good driving record.
• Participate in all required in-service training.
• Possess knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to safe transportation of students.

Responsibilities

• Operate buses in accordance with approved procedures to provide safe and efficient transportation for students.
• Maintain order and discipline among students being transported.
• Comply with directives regarding handling of elementary and secondary student bus passes.
• Maintain current route descriptions for all routes driven.
• Ensure compliance with fueling and pre-trip inspection procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior portions of buses driven.
• Report all mechanical problems or suspected problems.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor of Transportation or Driver/Route Supervisor.
