Charter Senior Living in Franklin, TN, is seeking a Bus Driver & Activity Assistant to support residents with safe transportation and engaging activities. This hybrid role blends driving residents to appointments and events with assisting daily programs that brighten lives.

You’ll collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director, ensure vehicle safety, and help create welcoming experiences for families and team members.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Experience driving seniors or passengers in a van, shuttle, or bus.
• Friendly, patient, and service-oriented personality.
• Ability to assist residents safely, including mobility or wheelchair assistance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Previous experience in senior living, activities, or healthcare is a plus!
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends for special events.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, group outings, shopping trips, and other scheduled events.
• Ensure residents are comfortable, assisted, and secure during travel.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director in planning and leading fun, engaging activities and programs.
• Help set up, decorate, and participate in resident events and community celebrations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the community vehicle and complete routine vehicle inspections.
• Build warm, positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.

Position Summary

This hybrid position plays a vital role in creating a positive, active, and safe environment for residents.
You’ll spend part of your time driving residents to appointments, events, and outings — and part of your time assisting with daily activities and programs that enrich residents’ lives.
