Job summary

Charter Senior Living is seeking a dependable Driver / Transportation Assistant to safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities while delivering compassionate customer service. The role also supports resident engagement by assisting residents in and out of vehicles and participating in community events.

The ideal candidate will be safety-minded, patient, and enjoy interacting with seniors.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience in transportation, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Compassionate, resident-focused attitude and safety-minded approach.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Dependable attendance and strong time management are required.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles safely and respectfully.
• Ensure resident comfort and safety during transportation.
• Follow local, state, and company driving regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation vehicles.

Position Summary

The Driver / Transportation Assistant is responsible for safely transporting residents to appointments, outings, activities, and scheduled destinations while providing excellent customer service and compassionate support throughout the transportation experience.

This role also supports resident engagement by building positive relationships and assisting residents safely in and out of vehicles and throughout community activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, safety-conscious, and enjoys interacting with seniors.
