Charter Senior Living is seeking a Driver / Transportation Assistant who will safely transport residents to appointments and activities while delivering excellent customer service and compassionate support. The role emphasizes resident engagement and safe, respectful mobility assistance within a senior living community.

The candidate should be dependable, patient, safety-conscious, and comfortable interacting with seniors, with flexible availability including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Experience in transportation, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service is preferred.
• Compassionate, resident-focused attitude and safety-first approach.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable attendance and strong time-management abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments and activities.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles in a safe, respectful manner.
• Ensure resident comfort and safety during transportation.
• Follow all driving regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation vehicles.
• Build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Communicate effectively with community leadership and team members.
• Attend meetings, training, and community events as required.
• Support resident activities and engagement as needed.
