Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid Class B Texas Commercial Driver’s License.
• Pass an annual physical and mental exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation of students to/from school.
• Maintain emotional control and communicate effectively.
• Lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Primary Purpose: Provide safe, orderly, and efficient transportation of students to and from school and on extracurricular trips.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Class B Texas Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and school bus endorsements
• Current Texas Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver Certification

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as defined by Texas DPS
• Pass an annual physical and mental exam
• Pass drug and alcohol screenings
• Proficient in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English

Experience: Preferred but not required: working with children or as a school bus driver.

Working Conditions:

• Maintain emotional control and communicate effectively
• Physically able to climb in/out of bus emergency door, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outside/in varying temperatures
