The City of Angleton seeks a bus driver for the Parks & Recreation Department to transport senior citizens. Responsibilities include ensuring safe transportation, supervising participants, and complying with all driving laws. Candidates must have a Texas CDL and First Aid certification. This position requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Location: Angleton Recreation Center
Salary: $16.25 per hour
SUMMARY
This position will be responsible to operate a 24-passenger bus for the purpose of transporting and sometimes leading a group of participants, particularly senior citizens, for various recreational activities.
The position requires contractor to be available to work a flexible work schedule which may include evening and weekend hours.
**This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts the following duties, where a momentary lapse of attention can have a disastrous consequence to the employee or the public.
Contractor will be responsible for making split-second decisions to implement the emergency action plan as it relates to emergencies while on-route in the City of Angleton recreational bus and on location of destination site.

The person ,in this position, is required to Frequently sit; stand; use their hands and digits to manipulate objects; bend, stoop; talk on the phone and radio, and Occasionally be required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Contractor may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
Frequently works in all settings which includes indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions – heat, cold, inclement weather exposed to moderate to high noise levels during normal job duties.
