Pearland Independent School District is seeking a school bus driver to provide safe and orderly transportation for students to and from school and during extracurricular trips.
Applicants must hold a valid Class B Texas CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, plus current TX Transportation safety certifications. The role requires 18+ years of age, good driving record, ability to pass drug and alcohol screening, and English communication proficiency.

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Class B Texas Commercial Driver's License with passenger and school bus endorsements
Current Texas Department of Public Safety School Bus Driver Certification
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Must maintain an acceptable driving record for school bus drivers as defined by Texas Department of Public Safety
Must be able to pass an annual physical and mental examination as required by Texas Department of Public Safety
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol screening as required by federal law
Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate verbally in English
Experience working with children preferred but not required
Experience as a school bus driver preferred but not required
Maintain emotional control; ability to communicate effectively; ability to maintain effective control over groups of students
Must be physically able to climb in and out of the school bus emergency door to perform evacuation procedures; continuous sitting, reaching, bending; repetitive hand and arm motions; work outside and inside; moderate exposure to extreme temperatures (heat); exposure to vehicle fumes. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
