Job summary

The Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a Bus Assistant at the Salem Brooks Site in Oregon. You will support the Bus Driver to transport children safely, supervise students, and communicate with staff and families about needs and center activities.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, ensuring proper restraints, keeping the bus orderly, completing required paperwork, and participating in safety education for children.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Must meet Oregon ELD requirements for Teacher Aide II within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver in supervising children and ensuring no child is left unsupervised.
• Assist with loading and unloading children safely and ensuring correct entry/exit to authorized persons.
• Ensure children are buckled in car seats or seat belts and belongings are managed safely.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with paperwork and documentation.
• Support transportation safety education and maintain positive behavior on the bus.
