Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corp. in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Burnisher Operator on the 2nd shift to join our manufacturing team. You will safely operate burnisher machines, maintain quality standards, and support deburring for downstream processes.

Key responsibilities include keeping equipment in good condition, meeting schedules, and accurately recording production data. The role offers growth potential within a dynamic culture and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Good organization skills and ability to handle several instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Hourly wage stated: $18.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Cleans overflow baskets and screens to keep burnishers in good operating condition.
• Attends work on time and adheres to scheduled hours daily.
• Maintains accurate production records and resolves shop order discrepancies.
• Moves parts to and from burnishing locations.
• Runs the burnisher for required time and unloads parts properly to avoid overloading separators and dryer.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm - 2am

In this role you are responsible for safely operating the burnisher machines while maintaining established quality standards, work schedules, and deburring of parts for further operations.

What Success Looks Like:

• Cleans overflow baskets and screens as necessary to keep burnishers in good operating condition.
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
• Maintains accurate production records and resolves shop order discrepancies.
• Moves parts to and from burnishing locations.
• Run the burnisher for required time and removes burnished parts; properly sets unloading gate so separator and dryer are not overladed.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
