Job summary

Quanex in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Burnisher Operator - 2nd shift. You will safely operate burnisher machines, deburr parts, and maintain quality and production records on a Monday-Thursday schedule (3:30pm–2am).

The role involves lifting up to 35 lbs, moving parts, and ensuring machines are well maintained. Compensation includes $18.50/hour with bonus potential and benefits.

• Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple instructions.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs on a frequent basis.
• Safety-conscious and able to operate burnishers safely.

Responsibilities

• Cleans overflow baskets and screens to keep burnishers in good condition.
• Attends work on time and adheres to scheduled hours.
• Maintains production records and resolves shop order discrepancies.
• Moves parts to and from burnishing locations.
• Runs burnisher for required time and safely unloads parts.

Hours of operation: Monday - Thursday, 3:30pm – 2am

In this role you are responsible for safely operating the burnisher machines while maintaining established quality standards, work schedules, and deburring of parts for further operations.

What Success Looks Like

• Cleans overflow baskets and screens as necessary to keep burnishers in good operating condition.
• Responsible for attending work on time and for scheduled hours each day.
• Maintains accurate production records and resolves shop order discrepancies.
• Moves parts to and from burnishing locations.
• Run the burnisher for required time and removes burnished parts; properly sets unloading gate so separator and dryer are not overladed.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
