Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Coating Line Operator on the 1st shift in Owatonna, Minnesota. You will hang parts in preparation for coating, move finished parts, and assist with packaging.

Typical hours are Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm. The position offers bonus potential, 401K with 5% company match, ESPP participation, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing is recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hang parts on various sized fixtures prior to coating.
• Remove parts from fixtures after coating and place into required containers.
• Rotate between positions and equipment to perform material movement.
• Maintain quality and ISO standards by checking/testing products.
• Verify quantity and part identification to resolve discrepancies in shop orders.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries.

What Success Looks Like:

• An active team player hanging individual parts on various sized fixtures.
• Able to remove parts from fixtures after coating and placed into required containers.
• Able to rotate between various positions and equipment as instructed, performing material movement.

• Maintains accuracy and resolves discrepancies in shop orders by verifying quantity and part identification.
• Works safely and follows procedures/methods required to prevent injuries.
