Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a part-time Burn Tech for day shifts in the Trauma Care Unit. Under RN supervision, you will provide technical patient care, assist with burn care therapy, gather patient data, and support ADLs while maintaining infection control standards.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, transporting patients, stocking supplies, and documenting in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license preferred.
• BLS and ABLS within 6 months of hire.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides information, direction, and assistance as appropriate.
• Maintains patient/employee safety by following controlled access policies.
• Communicates with the RN regarding patient status and interventions.
• Answers call lights, phones, or intercom to determine patients' needs.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transports as needed.
• Prepares patients for surgery and/or procedures and reviews plan of care with RN.
• Documents findings in the EMR in a timely, accurate manner.
