Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Burn ICU Float Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced burn/critical care environment. You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team to coordinate and tailor treatment plans while educating patients and families on their conditions and post-discharge care.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, advocacy, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes and nursing excellence.

Competenze

• RN with active license; Georgia or applicable state requirements.
• 2 years of Critical Care experience required, preferably in a burn area.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required or instructor status obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Mansioni

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications and potential side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Educates patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as diet and exercise, disease prevention, and self-management.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.
• Contributes to quality improvement initiatives to meet and exceed care standards.
