Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Georgia is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Burn ICU Float Pool. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, following standard nursing practices and our mission.

The role emphasizes acute care in a burn ICU setting, with emphasis on trauma, critical care monitoring, patient education, and fine-tuned care plans.

Qualifications

• Active RN license or eligible to obtain licensure
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 1 year of Critical Care experience required, preferably in a burn area

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding for patients and families.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures and enhance patient care.
• Coordinates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
