Qualifications

• Certification as NP/PA with state license.
• Special privileges include phlebotomy, wound care, grafting.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to interpret EKGs and manage ventilators.
• Experience assisting burn surgeries under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct surgical inpatient and outpatient burn patient care.
• Provide care for burn ICU patients under indirect supervision.
• Order lab tests, radiographs, EKGs and interpret results.
• Prescribe medications per Standards of Practice.
• Attend burn rounds, conferences and quality improvement projects.
• Coordinate patient consents and communications with families.
