Job summary

Joseph M. Still Burn Centers, Inc. seeks an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the critical care, trauma and burn arena.

You will provide inpatient and outpatient patient management, take histories and perform exams, order tests, and assist in procedures as part of a collaborative care team. Candidates must graduate from an accredited PA program, pass PANCE, maintain NCCPA certification, and hold state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Successful completion of PANCE.
• Maintain NCCPA Certification.
• Licensure in state practicing.

Responsibilities

• Focus is on reconstructive care of patients.
• Patient management of in inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic.
• Team approach and collaborative environment.
• Perform patient history and physicals.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays and provide diagnosis.
• Perform medical treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform minor surgical procedures.
• 1st or 2nd assist during surgery as required.
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans.
• Preoperative and postoperative care.
