Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill is seeking a Nursing Assistant I + Clerical (Clinical Support Tech I) for the Acute Burn and Wound Unit 5 East. The role combines direct patient care with clerical support, including charting and unit workflow, in a 36-hour weekly rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, transporting patients, and maintaining room setup and medical records, with opportunities to contribute to patient education and routine PI audits.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Ability to develop computer skills if not competent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care and transport patients or equipment.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms and unit desk area functions.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, and process orders.
• Transcribe orders and review for clarity; maintain medical records.
• Provide basic clinical support: clean areas, restock supplies, transport.
• Assist with personal care and measurement of vital signs per plan.
