Job summary

Valleywise Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Technician / CNA in our Burn Unit to deliver compassionate, skilled care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and an RN. You will support a diverse patient population from pediatric to geriatric, acting as a vital collaborator with physicians and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and CNA program certification.
• Minimum one year hospital experience as CNA/PCT/EMT preferred, in burn/wound care.
• CNA or EMT certification per Arizona standards and BLS from American Heart Association.
• PALS, ACLS, ABLS preferred within one year of employment.
• Bilingual is preferred; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, assist with ADLs and specialized procedures for burn recovery.
• Assist with advanced wound care and dressing changes as directed by the clinical team.
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and changes; communicate with supervising nurses and physicians.
• Maintain precise, real-time documentation to support the medical team.
