Job summary

The Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America in Virginia is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team in critical care, trauma and burn care. You will provide patient history, physicals, orders and management for inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating with surgeons and nurses to deliver comprehensive care.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited PA program, pass PANCE, maintain NCCPA certification, and be licensed to practice in

• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Successful completion of PANCE
• Maintain NCCPA Certification
• Licensure in state practicing

Responsibilities

• Focus is on reconstructive care of patients.
• Patient management in inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic.
• Team approach and collaborative environment.
• Perform patient history and physicals.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays and provide diagnosis.
• Perform medical treatment and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform minor surgical procedures.
• 1st or 2nd assist during surgery as required by supervising physician and/or training.
• Instruct and counsel patients on treatment plans.
• Preoperative and postoperative care
• Medication prescribing may also be necessary depending on state/facility

Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team of dedicated professionals in the critical care, trauma and burn arenas. Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America is the nation's largest burn network with locations throughout the United States. Candidates much be willing to travel, as needed, and participate in staff education.
