Job summary

The University of Utah Health is seeking a Burn Advanced Practice Clinician or Physician Assistant to join the Division of General Surgery on campus in Salt Lake City. This full-time, day-shift role collaborates with burn surgeons and nursing staff to deliver expert care across ED, ICU, clinic and OR.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, orders and interpretation of tests, care planning, outpatient clinic duties and ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Utah.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient histories, physical exams and assessments for burn patients.
• Order and interpret laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic tests.
• Provide care in ED, floor, ICU and clinic per ACLS/ATLS/PALS/ABLS guidelines.
• Develop and review plan of care with burn surgeons and team.
• Manage outpatient clinic duties and telephone follow-up.
• Contribute to documentation, quality improvement and education.
