Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Burn Center team. The role involves caring for adult burn patients (age 15+), performing assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with burn surgeons, nurses, and therapists.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s or Doctorate in an NP/PA program with an active Maryland license and ABLS certification (or be willing to obtain within 12 months).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Doctorate from an accredited NP/PA program.
• Current Maryland NP or PA license.
• ABLS Certification is required and must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Inpatient clinical experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care to adult burn patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Participate in rounds and coordinate with multidisciplinary team.
• Manage wound care, including dressings and debridement.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning.
