Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. through its Kinetic unit seeks a Buried Drop Technician to perform physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cables from the network hub to customers’ homes. The role requires travel, including out-of-state, and a focus on safety in all tasks.

You will interpret drawings, complete paperwork, promote Kinetic services, and train new staff while using hand-held devices to manage job tasks and locate underground facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk 1/2 mile+ with a drop plow and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Willingness to travel overnight and out of state as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Pass pre-employment DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber and coaxial drop cable from hub to customer residence.
• Interpret work drawings and complete required paperwork.
• Promote Kinetic products and services to customers.
• Train new employees on daily tasks and use handheld devices for tasks.
