Job summary
Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Buried Drop Technician for the Kinetic unit to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the hub to customers' homes. This hands-on field role emphasizes safety and customer service as you connect residents to reliable internet and voice services.
You will read drawings, complete paperwork, promote Kinetic products, and train new teammates while performing locates and operating trenching and boring equipment.
Qualifications
- Entry-level technician with safety-conscious approach.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
- Willingness to travel out of state for training.
- Experience with buried cable or telecom field work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop to connect customers.
- Use technical skills and customer focus to create connections.
- Interpret drawings and complete paperwork.
- Promote Kinetic products and services.
- Train new employees in daily tasks.
- Operate handheld computer for tasks.
- Perform locates on underground facilities when applicable.
- Operate trenching and boring equipment.
- All other tasks as assigned.
