Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cables from the hub to customers’ homes. You will connect customers to internet, voice, and entertainment services while emphasizing safety and quality workmanship.

You will read and interpret drawings, complete required paperwork, promote Kinetic products, and assist in training new colleagues. This role involves field work, occasional travel, and physical tasks typical of outdoor

Qualifications

Must be able to walk 1/2 mile or more with a drop plow
Willingness to work overtime, callouts, and standby as needed
Basic technology and math skills
Ability to distinguish colors in cable color codes
Lift and carry up to 70 pounds
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pass pre-employment DOT physical

Responsibilities

Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from network hub to customers’ homes
Promote Kinetic products and services to customers
Interpret work drawings and complete paperwork
Train new employees in daily tasks
Operate hand-held computer for task retrieval and clearance
Perform locates on underground facilities when applicable
Operate trenching/boring equipment for cable burial
Handle additional duties as assigned
