Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cables from the network hub to customers' residences. This safety-sensitive role may require overnight travel, including out-of-state assignments.

You will read drawings, complete paperwork, promote Kinetic products, and train new colleagues while using handheld devices and heavy equipment. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic technology and math skills required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel overnight/out of state.
• Color discrimination ability for cable identification.

Responsibilities

• Install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from hub to customer residence.
• Travel overnight as needed and possibly out of state.
• Read work drawings and complete paperwork.
• Promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily tasks.
• Operate handheld computer to retrieve and clear tasks.
• Perform underground facility locates when required.
• Operates trenching and boring equipment.
• Complete additional assigned tasks.
