Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company in Virginia is seeking a Bulldozer Operator to support multiple sites. You will operate heavy equipment and participate in on-site try-outs, with start times around early morning. This full-time, year-round role requires hard work and adherence to safety standards.

Overtime, nights or weekends may be required; compensation ranges from $22 to $35 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment; on-site try-out will be conducted.
• GPS/UTS experience preferred.
• Work in outdoor environments in all seasons.
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers and motor graders.
• Perform general maintenance including greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning of tracks.
• Daily cleaning of equipment.
• Report deficiencies to foreman immediately.
• Must be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
