Job summary

Shirley Contracting Company is seeking a Loader Operator (RT & TK) to support multiple Virginia job sites, including Lorton, Strasburg, Fairfax and Spotsylvania County. You will operate rubber tire or track loaders and perform light maintenance.

The role requires outdoor work in all seasons, the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening, and willingness to help with manual tasks on projects. Start times vary and overtime may be required depending on projects.

Qualifications

• Experience running heavy equipment.
• GPS/UTS experience preferred.
• Work in outdoor environments in all seasons.
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate rubber tire or track loader.
• Perform general maintenance including greasing, checking fluid levels, and cleaning of tracks.
• Daily cleaning of equipment.
• Report deficiencies to foreman immediately.
• Must be willing to perform manual labor related tasks to support projects.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
