Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Bulk Whiskey & Barrel Channel Manager to drive commercial success in bulk whiskey sales and barrel supply chain management. The role requires deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex global channels across North America and beyond.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years in spirits or beverage with bulk sales and/or supply chain focus, plus leadership ability to coach teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive bulk whiskey sales strategy.
• Identify and target potential bulk customers including distillers, brand owners, wholesalers, retailers.
• Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, contract negotiation, order fulfillment.
• Set pricing strategies and negotiate high-value contracts to optimize profitability.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, customer activity, and inventory movement.
• Oversee barrel procurement strategy and supplier relationships for consistent supply and quality.
• Collaborate with global procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align barrel availability with production and sales needs.
• Manage barrel sales programs for external customers, including pricing, contracts, and delivery coordination.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance for barrel transactions.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, suppliers, and contract distillation partners.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and events to promote offerings and gather market intelligence.
