Job summary

State of Vermont in Montpelier is seeking a Buildings Project Manager II to lead all phases of capital projects, from inception to completion, including repairs, renovations, and new construction. You will coordinate design teams, bid packages, construction oversight, and stakeholder communication.

The role requires a degree in engineering/architecture/construction management or related field, with a telework policy allowing two days of remote work per week after one year of satisfactory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.
• OR Associate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field AND two (2) years or more of experience in engineering, architecture, construction management, or construction supervision.
• OR High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) years or more of experience in engineering, architecture, construction management, or construction supervision.
• OR College senior in final semester of Bachelor’s degree program in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of building construction projects of varying size and complexity, including repairs, renovations, and new construction.
• Testify before legislative committees; hire and oversee outside consultant engineers/architects; bid projects; provide construction oversight; coordinate with building tenants.
