Job summary

State of Vermont is seeking a Buildings Project Manager IV to lead all phases of public building projects, including repairs, renovations and new construction. You will manage inception, procurement, design reviews, construction oversight and steering committees with tenants and stakeholders.

The role also supports the Operations and Maintenance Division for smaller projects, performs technical reviews and vendor assessments, and helps update design guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Engineer or Architect.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field AND four or more years of experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Associates degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field AND six or more years of experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
• High school diploma or equivalent and ten years or more of related construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of building construction projects from inception to completion.
• Testify before legislative committees and coordinate with tenants and stakeholders.
• Hire and oversee outside consultant engineers and architects; bid projects; provide construction oversight.
• Assist Operations and Maintenance with smaller projects and provide design reviews, vendor evaluations, and design guideline updates.
