Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is a national engineering firm delivering holistic advice on buildings, envelopes, and performance. The Houston office seeks recent graduates in architectural/civil/structural engineering to join Building Technology as Associate Project Consultant.

You will assist with new design, evaluation, and repairs under a licensed engineer, travel to multiple sites, and climb ladders and scaffolds as part of essential duties. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architectural or civil/structural engineering.
• 0–5 years of experience; EIT preferred.
• Interest in building construction and engineering problems.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and enthusiasm for the work.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and repairs for existing buildings.
• Travel by car to multiple job sites.
• Work under the direction of a licensed engineer.
• Climb ladders and work at great heights.
• Demonstrate a strong technical education and eagerness to learn.
