Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant to assist with new design, evaluation, and repairs for existing buildings in SGH's Building Technology division. You will work under a licensed engineer and may travel to various job sites from the Boston, MA office.

The role emphasizes problem solving, strong technical education, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Climbing ladders/scaffolds and working at heights are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and design of repairs for existing buildings under the direction of a licensed engineer.
• Climb ladders and scaffolds, work at great heights, and travel to multiple job sites as required.
• Demonstrate strong technical capability, professional demeanor, and willingness to learn.

Skills

EIT preferred

0-5 years experience

Valid driver’s license

Education

Bachelor of Architectural Engineering
