Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant for its Building Technology division in Los Angeles, CA. You will apply engineering principles to exterior building envelopes, assist with design, evaluation, and repairs, and travel to multiple job sites as needed.

The role requires a degree in architectural, civil, or structural engineering, 0–5 years of experience, and a strong interest in building construction. Climbing and learning are essential to success at SGH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 0 to 5 years of experience, EIT preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in building construction and engineering problems.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and enthusiasm for the work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and repairs for existing buildings under licensed engineer supervision.
• Climb ladders and scaffolds and work at great heights; travel to multiple job sites by car.
• Maintain professional demeanor and a strong desire to learn.
