Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Building Engineer I responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role focuses on routine maintenance tasks, responding to tenant requests, and ensuring systems operate safely under the guidance of senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses as required by local/state/national rules.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; experience with BAS operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting issues.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and upscale issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist with preventive maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and OSHA/NFC/NFPA regulations; report hazards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
