Job summary

Broadway Services Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in the daily operation of the physical plant in New Orleans.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation and compliance with applicable codes. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical trades, ability to read drawings, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• One-year technical education in maintenance trades or three years field experience.
• Familiar with tools and mechanical equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related components.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as directed by the Director of Plant Operations.
• Monitor boiler and HVAC systems, maintain logs and take action as needed.
• Complete repairs per codes and sound business practices.
• Maintain as-built drawings and relevant documentation.
• Advise on problem areas with equipment performance.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and support staff.
