Job summary

Lincoln Property Company in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Building Engineer I to maintain and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. You will handle routine tasks, respond to tenant requests, and support senior engineers while developing technical skills.

The role is 100% in-office with on-call duties and safety compliance as a core requirement. Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience and appropriate licenses.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office and work order systems, email, and training platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; able to perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; ensure OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA compliance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; support recovery during severe weather and outages.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers and technicians.
• Develop technical skills through professional development programs.
